Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope this letter finds you well. The 60-day 2022 legislative session flew by, and it’s now in the rearview mirror. However, since session ended, I have been busy working on the issues that matter the most to you in the 16th District. Just because we have entered the interim, that doesn’t mean my work as a legislature is done.
Speaking of the 2022 legislative session, you can get an in-depth recap of the biggest things that happened by reading my 2022 session recap update. You can also read my end-of-session newsletter online by clicking here.

Although there were some positive outcomes in the Legislature, this past session was very partisan for the most part. That means we still have many pressing issues we need to address. As your representative, I’ll be working hard during the interim to make our state a better place to live for everyone.
We must continue to improve public safety, make life more affordable for all, and find solutions for the other issues that matter most to the people of rural Washington. I look forward to working closely with you this interim to find real solutions.

Thank you for your input and please continue reaching out
Even though we have entered the interim, please know that I will be working for you throughout the remainder of this year and into 2023. Due to election-year restrictions beginning on May 16, I will not be able to send any more updates until after the election is certified in November. However, I am still your representative all year, and I will continue to be your voice in Olympia.
You can contact me with questions, concerns, and input, so please continue reaching out. I look forward to meeting with you throughout the interim in person, over the phone, or virtually. I’m here to serve, and I want to hear from you. Thank you for trusting me.
It’s an honor to serve.
Sincerely,

Mark Klicker
