Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I hope this letter finds you well. The 2024 legislative session flew by, and we’re now headed into a long interim. However, since session ended, I have been busy meeting with you and working on the issues you care about the most in the 16th District. Just because we have entered the interim, that doesn’t mean my work as a legislator is done.

Speaking of the 2024 legislative session, you can get an in-depth recap of the biggest things that happened by reading my 2024 session recap update. Or, click here for a recap of Republican priorities. You can also read my end-of-session newsletter by clicking here.

Although there were some positive outcomes this past session, there were also some failures. That means we still have many pressing items to address, including the housing crisis and several energy-related issues. As your representative, I’ll be working hard during the interim to make our state a better place to live for everyone.

We must continue to improve public safety, make life more affordable for all, and find solutions for the other issues that matter most to the people of rural Washington. I look forward to working closely with you this interim to find real solutions and fix Washington.

Election-year Restrictions

Because 2024 is an election-year, we must abide by certain restrictions in order to comply with state ethics laws. Those restrictions begin on Monday, May 6. That means I will not be able to send you email updates until after the November general election results are certified. In fact, all my legislative communications will be limited or restricted over the next six months.

However, that doesn’t mean we can’t communicate. I am still your full-time state representative and can respond to all constituents who contact me any time of the year. So please don’t hesitate to reach out. I want to hear your input. I invite you to email, call, or send me a letter anytime, and I will always respond as quickly as possible.
